Limits of each plan, in the guide

Try Pro free for 7 days

On iPhone and the web, the plans screen offers the free Pro trial if you have never tried Pro. It appears at the end of setup, from the star and when you reach a limit.

What Zoundroom does

  • Keeps each song as a project with its recordings, lyrics, notes and files.
  • Records ideas in one tap, including inside a note while you write the lyric.
  • Its multitrack editor changes the speed without changing the pitch (and the pitch without changing the speed), adds EQ, compression and delay, and records takes over the song, up to 8 tracks, on the phone and on the web.
  • Uses the same account on iOS, Android and the web (app.zoundroom.com).
  • Shares each project with up to 4 people on Pro (2 on Free); timestamped comments on the audio need Pro or Band for the person commenting.
  • Auralis, its assistant, writes and rewrites text (lyrics, vocabulary, chords and structure), and takes into account what you tell it about your music in your Creative DNA.
  • Suggests rhymes while you write the lyric, on the phone and on the web (app.zoundroom.com); in the iPhone, iPad and Android app, offline too.
  • Puts the chords over the lyric and changes the key of the song, on the phone and on the web (app.zoundroom.com); in the iPhone, iPad and Android app, it also plays them on guitar, piano or ukulele.
  • Records an idea without opening the app: with the widget, Control Center or the Action button on iPhone, and with the widget or the Quick Settings tile on Android.

What Zoundroom does not do

  • It is not a full DAW: no mastering, pitch correction, reverb, panning, MIDI or virtual instruments, and the editor exports the mix as M4A (no WAV, MP3 or separate tracks).
  • Auralis does not generate audio, sing or compose melodies you can hear.
  • It does not publish or distribute your music to streaming services.

Questions about plans

Is Zoundroom free?

Yes. The Free plan has no time limit: up to 2 projects, basic recordings and notes, and sharing each project with up to 2 people. Pro raises those limits to 1,000 projects, 10,000 files and 4 people per project; Band has no project or file limit inside the band.

How does the Pro trial work?

On iPhone and the web, the plans screen offers 7 days of Pro for free if you have never tried it. It appears at the end of setup, from the star and when you reach a limit.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. Subscriptions are monthly or yearly and can be cancelled at any time from where you subscribed: the App Store, Google Play or the web.

What does the Band plan include?

A shared space for the whole group: up to 7 people under one subscription, including the person who pays, band projects with no project or file limit, timestamped feedback, PDF import and every member’s tags. It all applies inside the band space.

Does Zoundroom make songs with AI?

No. Auralis helps with text (lyrics, vocabulary, chords and structure). The melody, the voice and the recordings are yours.

Is the editor free?

The Free plan includes 5 editing sessions. Opening the editor and leaving without saving does not use one; a session is used when you save or export. Pro and Band have no limit.
